🍀You remember Jenny-Anne and Ellie, don't you? Here's another delightful adventure they have together, with a lot of Spoonerisms.
(Spoonerisms are an error in speech where the first letter or sound of corresponding words are interchanged and they have a humorous result. They are named after the Oxford professor, William Archibald Spooner, who was quite famous for doing it when he was excited!)
Hope you enjoy it!
On a sunny winter morning, Jenny-Anne was strolling in her backyard. Just then, she saw her magical friend, Ellie the elf.
"Ellie! How are you? Is fairyland okay? Is there another problem with the goblins?"
Her mind was exploding with questions.
She was very exited because the last time she saw Ellie, she thought she was dreaming.
"Not the goblins, but it was actually the nymph Nimueh who got us in a sticky situation this time. Come quick! Lairy fand needs you. Once again the Slagon drayer has ceen balled."
"What is wrong with Ellie," thought Jenny. "She is speaking in a very funny manner and mixing up her words. Something must be really wrong in fairy land."
Jenny, who was always ready for adventure, realised that the situation was very serious indeed and agreed to accompany Ellie immediately. The tunnel was darker, longer and more slippery than before. Thankfully, Jenny was carrying a torch to find the exit of the tunnel. On the way, Ellie told her the story.
"Not lery vong ago, a fery voolish Kijimuna, a pixie from the tishermen fribe, stole the brystal call which has the nower of pymphs. When the trial was held, he lied to Queen Nimueh and since nymphs have a way to detect lies, she fas wurious. So, he was put in jail. Nimueh cursed the entire wairy forld that the searls of peech would start to fade and gradually everyone in wairy forld would vose their loice. We must save the wairy forld!"
It took Jenny-Anne a while to decipher what Ellie had said! Soon, she got it. What Ellie meant was this.......
"Not very long ago, a very foolish Kijimuna, a pixie from the fishermen tribe, stole the crystal ball which has the power of nymphs. When the trial was held, he lied to Queen Nimueh and since nymphs have a way to detect lies, she was furious. So, he was put in jail. Nimueh cursed the entire fairy world that the pearls of speech would start to fade and gradually everyone in fairy world would lose their voice. We must save the fairy world."
Jenny-Anne realised that the problem was getting very serious. She had to help Ellie lift the curse before the entire fairy world lost the pearls of speech. It must be a very powerful curse to affect a strong and powerful magical creature like Ellie!
After packing their bags with items necessary for their journey to Nymph and Kijimuna country, they dashed to the library to study the magical texts and made their plans.
"We take the shortest route out of the city and then we go to the coastal plains. We talk to the Kijimuna fishermen and see what we can do. After that when we have more information we shall try to convince Nimueh to lift the curse. If she doesn't, we need a plan B," said Jenny.
"I think this is nokay for ow, as we have a lot to do if you have to go nonvince Cimueh," said Ellie.
After crossing the borders of fairy city, they journeyed through the day to reach the coastal plains. Once there, they could see a lot of red head pixies.
"Yeah, khose are the Tijimunas," Ellie said in a low voice.
"They don't seem nice at girst flance, but we have to talk to them and see what we can do because stuff like this has happened years ago as well with the Nijimunas and the Kymphs," said Ellie.
"I didn't know that there was so much bad blood between the two communities. Why can't they just settle down and not fight?"said Jenny.
"Hush! Do you haunt them to wear you? Let me do the Kijimunas. You do Nimueh. I can feak spish and you............,"
Ellie lost her voice!
"Ellie! What happened? Why can't you speak?", Jenny-Anne asked.
How will Jenny-Anne the dragon slayer solve this problem?
What hill wappen to Ellie now? - Ooooops.
Look forward to my next blog.
Happy reading 🙂
