As Zinu’s blog turns 1, our little author/ blogger has turned a poetess (with her first poem)and illustrator as she shares her musings on a rainy day.... A July baby, she loves the rains! ☔️ Please keep encouraging her as she discovers herself ....

A-pattering on the dirt track lane,
Tap-tapping on my window pane ,
Creating lots of puddles,
mishaps and muddles,
I really love the rain.
Look at the fluffy cloud over head,
It looks like a pillow on my bed,
Little raindrops making silvery pools
You are swarmed with water cool,
And making sure all the rivers are fed
My favourite thing to do during the rain is to play some music, while reading a book. As the world gets a shower, washing the dust off the leaves and watering the thirsty rivers.
While listening to music, I might even watch some art tutorials and end up with a few pieces of art here and there. Expressing my feelings through colours, while giving into the temptation to have a 'bit' of chocolate. ("A bit?" says everyone as there is no chocolate left)
The sound of the raindrops is calming and relaxing and makes me wait eagerly for a rainbow. The rain looks like diamonds from a broken bracelet. The cool touch of the raindrops and the captivating storyline of my book is all I need on a wet ,cold, rainy day. I truly love the rain......
What a lovely poem! You have captured a rainy day so beautifully- I really like what you do on those days...music, a good read and chocolate. Nothing could be better.
Did you know that the first ever poem I wrote was also on Rain! Ask Dadiya, she might have it written somewhere.
Nice 😍 😊😊
