🍀Jenny Anne and her friend Ellie the elf sat on the shimmering silver sands of Shellfie beach, trying to think who could possibly have stolen the rose gold.
They had met King Kaden and Queen Qiona of Fairyland, who had impressed upon Jenny the importance of finding the rose gold as soon as possible! In a quandary about where to begin, Jenny and Ellie decided to go to the Little Light of Learning, the large library in Fairyland, to find out more about who was likely to steal the rose gold. They ended up reading several seaweed scrolls about the various marvellous magical creatures that live in the underwater kingdom.
They sat there for hours. Ellie suddenly remembered a clever crafty creature that her grandmother had told her about: The Mer pixie. The Mer-pixie is a rare creature which can shape shift. They are loners and don't like to live among other communities. Negative emotions like anger, resentment and sadness makes them powerful. On the other hand, positive emotions like happiness, kindness and love make them weak. Though they like being alone, they crave attention too and can be quite mischievous at times.
"And guess what??? They can make rose gold out of seashells according to this scroll here! So, they believe that the rose gold is rightfully theirs!!!" Jenny Anne said with excitement, as she continued, "which means that there is a mischievous Mer- pixie somewhere in Fairyland, most probably right here in the Underwater Kingdom! Let's start from there!"
Jenny and Ellie were back on Shellfie beach, trying to think about what to do. Jenny remembered that Rose gold is obtained from special shiny seashells and mermaids must know something about rose gold as they have a lot of seashells. They asked the mermaids but apparently they didn't know how to make rose gold, they only collected the seashells and left it on the beach for the Mer-pixies, who made rose gold which was then collected by the wily wicked witches and guarded by the ogres. Rose gold was used to make fairy dust which all magical creatures used to fly.
The Mer-pixies lived inside the Coral Caves. When Jenny and Ellie tried to talk to the Mer-pixies, there was one Mer-pixie who had twinkling eyes and looked very mischievous. Jenny felt that this naughty Mer-pixie, called Mixie, must know something. She gave Mixie her beautiful beady bracelet. When all the mer-pixies went back to their caves, Jenny and Ellie saw Mixie sneaking away. They decided to follow Mixie, which was made easier by Jenny's magical tracking bracelet.
Mixie led them to the Mer-Palace Royal rose gardens where she stopped and touched a glittering pretty peach coloured rose. Then she vanished. Jenny and Ellie ran to see that rose and realised that it was the stolen rose gold, which Mixie had hidden in a very clever manner! Ellie, with her magical powers, picked the rose shaped Rose gold and along with Jenny, she flew to the Land of Goosebumps where the wicked witches, horrible hags and ominous ogres lived.
When Jenny and Ellie handed over the stolen rose gold , it was duly decided to call off the war.
Mixie the Mer-Pixie was brought to Fairy court before King Kaden and Queen Qiona. Everyone was present because they wanted to know why mischievous Mixie had stolen the Rose gold.
Mixie looked every bit mischievous as she confessed, "I stole the Rose gold because I was bored! Everyone was living in peace and harmony which was not exciting at all! I thought that a war would be interesting!"
Mixie's confession left everyone shell shocked but they also found it funny. All assembled there, the whole of fairyland started laughing which weakened Mixie and she promised not to be naughty or to steal anything ever again!
Ellie opened a shimmering portal for Jenny and with a wish, Jenny was transported back to her bed. She open her eyes to see her mother's smiling face as her father whispered, "The trek must have tired her.I am sure her wonderful dreams will be more interesting than a dreary dinner at a dull diner."
