When Spellie lost her Eeach!!!

Previously-

"I'll do the Kijimuna, you do Nimueh. I can feak spish and you....."Ellie lost her speech!

Poor Jenny was scared and asked Ellie," What happened? Why can't you speak?"

Jenny racked her brains and had an idea. "Since I have a few fairy powers, I think we both should visit the powerful witch, Abyss. She should be able to help us. What do you think Ellie?", asked Jenny.

Ellie could only nod in agreement.

Jenny asked Ellie to give her the magical ingredients for the glittery spell. Jenny took the ingredients, added two toadstools to it and sprinkled it on the ground. The ground turned into a swirling whirlpool of rainbow colours and a magic portal opened. Jenny and Ellie stepped into the pool and were instantly transported to a crystal cave far away.

They were in the lair of Abyss, a good and powerful witch.

"Enter Dragon slayer," her voice boomed.

Jenny and Ellie turned around to see a youthful red haired woman dressed in shimmering silver robes.

"Please bring back Elli's speech," said Jenny to Abyss.

"I will. But be aware that if you don't defeat Nimueh, Ellie will lose her speech forever!"

"But how?"asked Jenny.

"Nimueh has a weakness for lemons. It melts her heart. You need to feed her some lemon juice. I will send you to Nimueh. Once you give her the lemon juice, hold hands and snap your fingers twice. You will find yourselves back here", said Abyss. "Come,  Dragon slayer, it's time for action!"

Jenny knew precisely what to do now. She quickly bought some lemons from the fairy market and added it to the "youth potion" which Abyss gave her.

Abyss sprinkled some fairy dust on Ellie and Jenny and the next moment, the two of them found themselves in Nimueh's banquet hall. They looked at each other and realised that Abyss had disguised them as Nimueh's cup bearers. When Nimueh held out her golden goblet for a refill, Ellie quickly refilled the cup with the youth potion spiked with lemon juice. Her heart was beating as lound as a bass drum. She was sure everyone in the banquet hall could hear it and they would be caught. She hurried back to where the disguised Ellie was standing, handed her the jug of youth potion, grabbed her hand and snapped her fingers twice. The last thing she saw was Nimueh putting down her goblet carelessly, after taking a long sip from it. The goblet toppled over and the rest of the spiked potion spilt onto the table!   

Jenny was horrified. The moment they got back to Abyss's crystal cave, she begged to be sent back. Just then, Jenny heard Ellie call out to her and say, "I spink my thoice is jack, Benny! I'm ho sappy !!!"

Jenny looked at Ellie in horror, "Ellie, I think I messed up!"

Ellie tried to comfort Jenny and said, "Won't dorry! At least my boice is vack! You can sake mense of my wumbled jords!"

Jenny nodded and said, "You are right. Now let's ask Abyss what can be done."

"Gets lo! ," said Ellie with excitement.

Back in the lair of Abyss the witch, Jenny asked for another way to defeat Nimueh so that the curse could be removed once and for all.

"Do you think you can do it this time without mistakes?", Abyss asked Jenny.

"I'm sure I can," said Jenny.

Ellie tried to encourage Jenny," I know do can cou yit!"

Ellie's gibberish reminded Abyss something and she smiled. If Ellie and Jenny could make Nimueh laugh, the curse would vanish and all creatures of fairy land would get back their pearls of speech. But Nimueh had to laugh - not smile or grin.

Nothing but a genuine happy laugh alone would break the spell on Ellie and the curse on Fairy land.

With renewed courage, Jenny and Ellie approached Queen Nimueh.

"What do you want Dragon Slayer?", Nimueh asked Jenny.

"My friend has come with a request dear Queen. Please listen to her," Jenny said politely.

Ellie the elf knew this was her moment, her chance to save her beloved fairy land.

She stood in front of Nimueh and began to speak, "Qear Dueen, flease porgive us. It's the Fijimuna's kault! If only they lint die to you, our spearls of peach lon't be wost! I...."

Nimueh started smiling and then burst out laughing,"Ha ha ha ha ha ha! You are so funny, Ellie the elf! You feak in a spunny manner! I loved it! "

Looking at Nimueh in a fit of hysterical laughter made everyone around laugh.

Ellie said to Jenny," Do you think it worked?"

"Ellie, you aren't talking funny anymore! It worked!," Jenny hugged her little friend and laughed with the others.

The curse on fairy land was lifted.

Ellie opened the magic portal and Jenny - Anne stepped into the dark slippery tunnel that opened into the garden of her home.

Once again, she felt her mother gently shaking her awake and reluctantly opened her eyes.

She was sure it was yet another magical adventure and not just a dream.
